Meridian auto-drafts status updates from on-device tracking, and Vendo lets end users build custom views inside host SaaS apps.
Why now: Both products broke into Product Hunt's top five on its August 17 daily leaderboard.
Meridian landed at #2 on Product Hunt's August 17 daily leaderboard with 155 upvotes. The on-device AI journal watches your day and auto-drafts status updates into your project management tool, tagged "Don't let your work go unnoticed."
Vendo took #4 with 126 upvotes. The embedded layer lets end users build custom views and micro-apps inside whatever SaaS product they're already using.
Different products, same target. Status reporting is exactly what Jira, Linear and Asana bill seats to collect. Custom views are exactly what the "can you add a view for our team" backlog is made of at every B2B vendor. Meridian writes the update so nobody has to log in and type it. Vendo lets the requester build the view themselves instead of filing a ticket and waiting.
Neither claim is verified beyond the Product Hunt listing itself. No user counts, retention numbers or customer names are attached to either launch, just upvote totals.
If Meridian's summaries hold up under daily use, the manual status update that seat-priced tools charge for stops being necessary. This bets against seat-priced reporting features generally, not against one competitor. Worth watching: whether either product ships as a standalone app or gets pitched as an integration layer for the tools it's undercutting.
