The button followed an analysis finding 41% of longform posts were fully AI-generated. LinkedIn is adding a notice telling posters "Some members told us this post seems like AI," and retiring its "enhance your post" tool for a proofreader that doesn't rewrite voice. A platform-level distribution penalty on generated prose is a stronger incentive than any style guide.
