Founder Adam Guild says 83% of new customers come through AI products instead of Owner's sales team, after a three-year rebuild.
Why now: Guild made these numbers public in a SaaStr talk, giving outsiders a rare after-the-fact account of a sales function that AI fully took over.
Owner.com passed $100 million in annual recurring revenue with 83% of new customers arriving through AI products, per Adam Guild's SaaStr talk. The company was 100% sales-led three years ago, so that share marks most of its growth moving through software instead of people. Its reps carry more than $2 million in ARR each on $150,000 in on-target earnings, up from needing a human closer on every account.
A lead-qualification agent estimates a restaurant's payment volume within about $250 before a rep gets involved.
Inside the company, an agent called Owen watches GitHub, Slack, Notion, Linear and meeting transcripts and handles roughly 90% of the coordination work between builders.
Guild points to the hiring pattern as what separates Owner from the Meta story. Owner is hiring more builders, not fewer, because demand for what the agents can build outruns the team's capacity.
The 83% figure travels well as a slide. The hiring number is harder to copy without matching Owner's engineering investment first.
