ContractPodAi's Leah declares the CLM era over

ContractPodAi, now rebranded as Leah, launched Leah Contracting on September 18 and said the category it helped create has run out of road.

CEO Sarvarth Misra put it plainly: "CLM was built for a world where people operate software... Putting AI on top made people faster at operating it. It did not make the software do the work." That's a direct shot at every vendor that spent the last two years adding a chatbot to an existing CLM dashboard, and it comes from the company that built one of those dashboards.

Leah Contracting covers intake through renewal with more than 750 prebuilt templates and specialist agents assigned to different parts of the process. It doesn't work alone. The product sits next to Leah Legal, Procurement and Finance. An obligation created in a contract is supposed to carry across those functions instead of stopping at whatever system logged it first.

Misra is arguing Leah replaces CLM software rather than adding a layer on top of it. Whether that holds depends on how much of the work still needs someone reviewing each stage.

The September 18 announcement doesn't say whether Leah Contracting completes a full cycle, drafting to signature to renewal, without a person checking each stage. That gap decides whether the software does the work or a person just does it faster.
