Three days running, Product Hunt's leaderboard has favored tools that run agents over agents that do anything themselves.
Why now: The pattern shows up in Product Hunt's August 17 daily leaderboard, the third straight day it has held.
Omni by xpander topped Product Hunt's August 17 leaderboard with 186 upvotes, pitching agent deployment as the fix for babysitting them. Four of the day's top ten slots went to tools that supervise, schedule, validate or route agents, not to applications. None of the four is a product you open and use.
Three more launches follow the same script. Clears takes #3 with 149 upvotes for agentic software delivery end to end. Replay QA for Teams lands at #8 with 99, recording interactions in a purpose-built browser for inspection and bug reports. Treg rounds out the pattern at #10 with 96, routing tasks to the right tool or agent. This is the third consecutive day the infrastructure-and-verification tier has outranked the application tier, per Product Hunt's daily rankings.
Agents got easy to write and hard to run, and this leaderboard says so. Getting a model to call a few tools is a weekend project. Getting it to run unattended, fail quietly, and flag when it drifts is the part eating engineering time now.
Watch whether the pattern holds past day three. If deploy-and-verify tools keep beating applications, agent operations becomes its own budget line instead of a bolted-on feature.
